Sydney

Last weekend, a large group went to Sydney for a long weekend. The group included the following people:

Ashley (Las Vegas)  & Manuela (Switzerland)

Justin (Hollywood)

Katja (Guatemala) & Tina (Sweden)

Mariana (Mexico City)

Shane (Colorado)

Megan (Virginia)

Chris (Germany)

Lindsey (San Diego)

And Yours Truly (Virginia)

So flew out to Sydney around 5PM on a Friday. We took a dodgy airline called Tiger, but it was $80 for a roundtrip so we couldn't complain.

$80 is $80. No leg room, but who cares.

And of course, the youngster had to buy an overpriced beer, just because she could.

Doesn't Megan look like the roly poly from A Bug's Life?

Anyways, Sauce got really sick on the flight.

And then, our first hostel experience!

My favorite girls.

Steve Irwin of Whale Wars.

Sydney Harbour Bridge

Opera House

Opera House

The Bridge from a ferry.

We took a ferry across the bay to Manly Beach. Coolest ferry ride ever.

And the beach had the best view.

Clear waters.

and environmentally friendly :)

One thing I noticed about Sydney/Australia is that their Asian foods are amazing. For lunch, we stopped at Chat Thai and it was literally the best Thai I've ever tasted.

After a lovely day at the beach, we went back and got hit by the shortest, craziest storm on the ferry. The water was super choppy and the deck was getting blasted by the water.

But by God's glory, the sun came up as we were pulling into the dock by the Opera House. Perfect time for a photo shoot.

And then, madness ensued.

We Love Dancing.

Saturday Night, we went off to King's Cross. Basically the sketchiest place I've ever been to.

Lindsey and I being the oldest, didn't want to go clubbing. So instead, we found a lovely lounge and had a few beers and chatted until the kids were ready to go home.

The next day, we went to Bondi Beach, which I was informed was one of the world's famous beaches.

Basically brothers and sisters. These two are too funny together.

Although we see this landmark everywhere on the internet and on TV, it's quite amazing to be able to go up to it and touch it.

More to come :) Love y'all
